Hello!  I'm Melissa Gibson, M.A., a lover of beer, bourbon, and booty's, living out my fat and fabulous life in Louisville, KY.  As a recent graduate of the Masters of Arts Women's and Gender Studies Program at the University of Louisville and Body Positive Activist, I seek to engage with and cultivate conversations in the Body Positive Community addressing issues of body oppression and marginalization. 

This blog is a reflection of my life as a fat woman and my research in body politics including race, gender, orientation, and body size.  I'm excited to share, learn, and grow together.
